Hoping to have done for Norwood, have a few questions
I`ve been reading and I'm prepping my 920 Peerless and was wondering if we need reverse gear to be functional? as they say to remove it when race prepping a trans axle?
As I'm not a member it says we need a 5" number on mower just wondering how I would know a safe number to put on?
Also do we need to pre register for this event or just show up early?
Any help be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks Garett

Hi good to hear you are joing our sport. It is best to remove the reverse gear as you have read and allowed in our rules. We need the numbers on both sides of your tractor to be clearly visible to our race officals. What number do you have in mind to use? You do not need to pre register for any of our events just be sure to be there a hour early to register and get your tractor teched. One number that comes to mind that is not being used is 911 LOL. See you at the races.

Got the mower running and driving, still gotta finish up safety gear.
Couple more questions.
For rear axle, I drilled\tapped center of axle on each side and I am installing 5/16" grade 8 bolts that will be thread locked and big washer. if I leave the E-Clip and run this for backup axle retainer is that ok? or do I have to run collar instead of the E-Clip even with the hardened bolt?
Front axle, has factory washer and heavy cotter pin, is this ok to pass tech?
Reason I ask is front\rear axles are not really long enough for collars to work properly.
Also for a neck collar I have a Cervical collar from if you had a neck injury ( Looks same as racing without the fancy cover) is this acceptable or does it have to be a racing one?
Please let me know, Looking forward to racing Sunday.
Thanks Garett
