A buddy is building a stock mod for this season, now the tractor had a transaxle but he put a peerless 700 up in under the seat as it had holes for it on the chassis and put a 3/4" solid axle in the stock height location, just wanted to make sure this is ok for the class? I read the rules and just wasn`t sure if this was ok or not?
Thanks Garett

This is taken directly out of the stock mod rules. drive train must utilize a shiftable transmission/transaxle, no widening is allowed (as from factory). The keys words here are "as from factory" as for the 3/4" solid axle that is deemed as a live axle system. It looks like your friend just read and built to modified rules. If the tractor came with a transaxle as you state it cannot be swapped out to modifiy . Its a good thing you posted this as come race day he would not have been allowed to run in stock modified.
