Started working on my Formula Open tractor Monday night. Needs a fuel pump, but I think I have a good used one I can get. Once that is on and the tractor is running it'll be teardown time. The first race can't come any faster!

Well I found out that my fuel pump is fine and it was just the old fuel line. Replaced that and now she runs like a dream. So tomorrow I am going to start tearing it all apart. YAY!!

Asked Santa for a new carb and some other odds and ends. Hopefully the big jolly guy will come through.
(P.S. I also added pictures to the above posts.)

Thanks for the tip. I was undecided on whether to reinforce or not, but now I will.

Just to add on to that tip of bracing your frame, if you can clear ur axle or transmission... whatever your deciding to run make sure to take your bracing all the way down both sides of your frame, if not in time the unbraced fram will start to twist and warp ur frame ( in the spots that are unbraced of course). Other then that it seems ur excited and wanting to race, which is very good. keep working and good luck with your build. Steven.

Thanks for more tips. I'm sorry I haven't made it to any meetings. I fliped my truck and wrote it off on Dec 1. After dealing with the insurance (I owed more than they would give me) I now have to pay off my loan, before I can get financing for a new vehicle. So for now I am only getting rides when absolutely necessary (I see racing as necessary but my 'chauffeurs' do not). lol
