Hey everyone! My name is Dylan Ford. I'm starting to build my first of two lawn mowers for next year. I was just wondering when the rules for next season usually get posted. I don't want to get almost done and then have the rules change and have to rebuild. Hope to see you all at the first race next year.

What classes of racers are you building for ? We do not meet until the new year starting in January for our first meeting. If you come to that meeting and become a member you will have a say in the rules and how they change. Looking forward to having you as a new racer.

I plan on becoming a member. Just let me know when and where the meeting is and I will try to make it.
I am planning on building a Super Mod and an FT Open. Then the next year one of my tractors is going up to Extreme.
I have another question. Are there any good lawn mower graveyards around?

I will let you know when the meeting is. As for lawnmower grave yards I only know of one it is on county road #5 but the guy is expensive.

Me again. I have a new question. I was going through the manual for my lawn mower (got the mower for free from my in-laws) and found the displacement is 42.33 cu in or 694cc. It's a Briggs and Stratton 18hp twin cylinder L-head. What I discovered however is that it is above the max displacement for the FT Open, at least I think it is. It says in the rules that an L-head twin (opposed) has a max of 44 cu in or 722cc. Is this what my engine falls under? It says opposed and that is what throws me off.
Thanks, Dylan

Dylan FT Open class opposed twin max is 44ci or 721cc so if that is the class you are building for then that motor is good to use. If you have anymore questions fire away. It is good to see you are reading the rules before you build.
