It's a good 2 and a half hours away from Stirling lol East end Ottawa. I'll make sure to bring a camera if i do go. And i found a guy on Kijiji selling an 11hp 400cc briggs engine for a hundred dollars! I emailed him and got a bit more info on it and offered a trade for my 8hp 319cc and he will give me 50$ off! I'd just like to know if the bigger engine would fit in the same hole as the smaller one lol I don't want to buy something i can't use!

Well Thomas thats a fair bit of a drive, but for someone like yourself who's interested in getting involved, its a great chance to get all the ideas you need. we dont venture up to close to ottawa anymore for the rest of the season... :S Perth is the closest we come now in our race schedule, but i dont think u want to wait till sept do you? but about your question, ummm you will most likely have to re drill 4 new sets of holes in your frame for your motor to mount in but other then that 4 holes drilled later and your good to go. Steven.

There's no way i'm waiting until september lol. And a few holes isn't a problem at all for me... I'll need to find a guy with the right drill and bits tho

Hey guys Sorry i can't go to the race today, it's way too much of a drive and my mother's a bit too busy to get me there . South Mountain is looking good for me so far. I'd like to know what the schedule is like and how long it takes for all the classes to race, my sister has a show that same afternoon and my mother's schedule is a little pressed. I'm hoping to get out to the demolition derby on the friday at South Mountain lol I've never seen one of those in my life and they sound like alot of fun to watch

I'm planning on getting out to princess auto today to buy some new pulleys. Just for a little clarification, in the back i would want the smallest pulley i can find and the front pulley should be as big as the engine can handle, yes? For my 8hp i was thinking that i should get something like a 4 1/2"- 5" pulley, i'm not sure if that would be too big or too small tho.
Thanks a lot!

That would probably be pretty good for your 8 hp Thomas, and then as small as you can on the back, sounds like you are getting the hang of it.

Alrighty... I got out to princess auto last weekend and got the pulleys . I ended up getting 5.25" for front and 2.5" for the back. I'm still having a load of trouble finding an 11hp engine so if any of you guys would know anyone that would be able to sell me an engine that would be great! Concerning the belt length that i need, how do i measure it again? Is it with the idler pulley engaged or disengaged? Thanks!
